Happy Nonfiction November

Overall, November is a drab sort of month in my world. The cold finally settles in, the sky is mostly gray and the chance of snow becomes a reality. On the flip side, it really is perfect reading weather and November has been renamed Nonfiction November. The challenge is to read more nonfiction than you would normally read. For you, reading just one nonfiction book could be enough to meet the challenge!
Because I can't give up reading fiction completely, I'll be featuring my nonfiction reads on Wednesdays (with a few thrown in on random non-Wednesdays). I'll start today with a book near and dear to my heart. That Christmas Feeling is my third time being included in a Chicken Soup for the Soul book! I'm excited that I have TWO contributions to this title. "Stay Out of the Manger!" features the cat trio that became famous(their words, not mine) in another Chicken Soup for the Soul title: What I Learned from my Cat. Check it out HERE. I also have "Year of the Sugar Cookie" which family and friends will tell you is the one cookie I don't make at Christmas. Maybe cat and holiday stories are my niche because the other Chicken Soup for the Soul title I was included in was last December's That Christmas Feeling. Check it out HERE.
As far as I'm concerned this is the perfect book to buy, not only as a gift for others who love

the holiday season, but also for yourself. Buy it now and you can enjoy little snippets of holiday fun that will only be a 5 minute read. A nice escape from the more crazy aspects of the season. You'll laugh; you'll cry; you'll stop family members attempting to re-heat leftover pizza and say "Let me read this to you." Plus, a portion of the royalties goes to Toys for Tots.
You can find it at Walmart, Sam's Club, Barnes & Noble, Amazon and more. And if your reading time is limited, why not try the audiobook?
If you want an autographed copy of any of my titles, stop by the Pottsville Free Public Library for Small Business Saturday on November 28 from 11 am to 3 pm. I'll be there with my foldable table, my books and chocolate. Sadly, the cats have not agreed to make an appearance. But there will be many creative artisans and crafters there for the Holiday Marketplace.
And if you want to join the Chicken Soup for the Soul writers, there are some great books open for submissions: married/couples stories, pet stories, stories about positive thinking, dog stories, cat stories, holiday stories, stories about angels. Learn more about submissions HERE.
So will you be joining Nonfiction November?
And what will you be reading? I just finished a memoir (come back Wednesday for more) and have moved on to a book about chocolate. Yum.
