More About Judith Cranswick
Judith was born and brought up in Norwich and now lives with her husband in Swindon. She wrote her first novel (now languishing in the back of a drawer somewhere) when her two children were toddlers, but there was little time for writing whensheI returned to work teaching Geography in a large comprehensive. It was only after leaving her headship that she was able to take up writing again in earnest.
Life is still busy. She spends her mornings teaching Tai Chi and yoga or at line dancing, Pilates and Zumba classes. Her other hobbies include reading and, of course, travel. She is lucky enough to be a cruise lecturer and you can read some of her adventures in ‘The Ups and Downs of Being a Cruise Lecturer’.
It’s no surprise that Judith reads a great deal of crime fiction. Her favourite authors include Zoë Sharp, Robert Goddard, Felix Francis, Nicci French, P D James and Lesley Horton, all of whom she's had the great privilege of meeting. She is also addicted to the zany comedy of Jasper Fford (his ‘The Well of Lost Plots’ is a must for all aspiring crime novelists) and the great Terry Pratchett both of whom she's met and chatted to.
A Little Extra
Ever frustrated by what to do with your shorter pieces of writing? Not Judith! She's compiled 10 of her short stories--some humorous, some poignant, a ghost story, a tale of revenge, one or two with a dark side and several with a twist in the tail. You can get a FREE copy of All Sorts, which includes a few prize winning stories, HERE.
