Stenciled Edges

Yes, I've bought books just because they were beautiful. Mostly children's picture books and

the occasional vintage book. I own Gray's Elegy because I was just so amazed by the gilding, three dimensional cover and detailed pen and ink illustrations.
It seems books as a work of art are making a comeback but in genres I don't read a lot of, like romance and romantasy. (Check out Beautiful Things and My Demon Hunter). But I stumbled across an amazing book with stenciled edges that is a thriller: Ask for Andrea by Noelle W. Ihli .
Is it crazy that I want to buy a book just because of how it looks?
